About

Kevin Sandbloom has been singing and songwriting from an early age. Heading many bands in the LA area (and for a brief time in the SF Bay) he became known for his introspective lyrics, complex chord changes and deep grooves. After a short stint with Virgin Records, he decided to start producing his own music and releasing it through his label, Red Llama Music. Shortly after that he stumbled into the Los Angeles spoken word scene and found his niche amongst the poets. His lyricism and soul made him a fan favorite and he was invited to feature at venues all over the country. He has been touring nationally and internationally ever since.

He has opened for Anthony HamiltonGil Scott-HeronSaul Williams and Bilal, as well as writing the title track for Robben Ford’s “Supernatural” release. He has been a guest teacher at Berklee College of Music, a featured performer at Brooklyn Academy of Music, a guest performer on ABC/Disney’s “Lincoln Heights” and contributed music to countless films including Laurence Fishburne’s “Once In The Life”.

He is promoting his latest album, Swerve, drawing heavily from classic soul influences, James BrownDonny HathawayAllen Toussaint and Steely Dan among others. He is recording more music for release in 2024.
