Hey good people,
Just wanted to give an update on my fire recovery journey. I’ve gotten so much help from the community so far. So much help it is gobsmacking. I am beginning to slowly replace some of my instruments, mostly the basic I need to start recording and practicing with. I had a ton more that will take longer to replace as I just don’t have the wherewithal at the moment. I have a detailed list of items lost in the fire that I’m looking to replace here.
If anyone can help replace or has a replacement they’d like to donate, I would be much appreciative.
I’m still looking for long term housing over the next year or so and any donations toward this would certainly help in that endeavor.
My gofundme page is here.
As for music, this is going to be an integral part of my healing and recovery. I’m trying to make a path forward through finishing a record I’ve been working on and releasing the music I made last year to all streaming platforms in the next few months. I am still working on a record called The Nails Are Low, however because of the fire, I’m mentally in a different space and physically can’t currently recreate the sounds I was using so I’m switching the approach to something I can create with limited space. I will be releasing a series of double singles (Side A and Side B) through the next couple of months with the intention of raising funds to eventually rebuild my studio.
I will also release the 3 songs I recorded for the project last year as an EP and leave them off the record for continuity’s sake. This EP will be a kind of a farewell to my studio called Terrace Flowers. Again proceeds will go to help recover instruments and rebuild a studio. You can find the EP on my Bandcamp.
Will be keeping you updated.
Forward, in music and love.
